I spend more than a decade at Google — most recently as Director of Engineering in Zürich, where I led engineering for Brand & Collaborative Advertising and Retail Advertiser Experiences across Google Ads. Before that I built and scaled products across Commerce, Shopping, and AI, working at the intersection of large-scale systems thinking, machine learning, and complex product challenges.
I've led cross-functional teams shipping products that serve millions of advertisers and merchants globally, from zero-to-one launches to scaling existing platforms. My work has consistently centred on turning deep technical capability into tangible business outcomes.
I'm now exploring what comes next: advising founders, investing in early-stage deep tech, and getting my hands dirty on problems where engineering rigour and AI can make a real difference.
I'm exploring roles that sit at the intersection of deep technology and real-world industries — places where an engineering leader with two decades of experience shipping products at scale can make a meaningful difference. Whether that's as an advisor, an angel investor, or rolling up my sleeves as a hands-on technical contributor.
The problems I find most compelling tend to live where advanced science meets traditional industry: gene editing, autonomous systems, AI infrastructure, and the messy work of digitising physical processes. I'm especially drawn to founders who think in systems and aren't afraid to build hard things.
When I'm not staring at a screen, you'll usually find me somewhere vertical, covered in chalk, or chasing powder days across the Alps.
